Who are Dalit
Dalits are individuals belonging to the lowest caste in the Hindu caste system. This “hidden apartheid” represents 13%
of total population(Dalit claim more than 20%). Most Dalits live on less than $1 a day. Dalit women are victims of both
caste and gender discrimination, thus they face greater deprivation in society. The Mass-Nepal recognizes all these hard-
ships. In response, the organization primarily targets women, children, and those living in poverty.
